A call to Keifer's gained an apology and a promise. Now in Nov. , the extra charge is still there. No action.
After this additional ridiculousness, it seems clear that the first issue was with the store double charging. However, Synchrony has also been less than helpful.
Horrible Horrible Horrible experience. Ordered Flexsteel furniture in July 2017. It still hasn't arrived. Endless excuses and broken promises. We have caught them being dishonest. Now they are going out of business and will not give a refund. I fear they will close and take our money with them so I contested the charge with my credit card. The credit card company is crediting our account and taking it up with Kiefers. I also contacted the Better Business Bureau and the Indiana Attorney Generals Office Consumer Affairs Division and Flexsteel to ask for assistance. If you are experiencing the same I would suggest you do the same. For all others I would encourage you to avoid this place. If I could award a zero I would or even a negative number. I suspect they are getting an interest free loan from all of us to cover their debt. Think about it if they tie our money up for months and then issue a refund it is in fact an interest free loan for that period of time and if the bank looks at their books they may not be willing to loan them any money. I do not trust anything they say.
Purchased a chair during a sale in July 2017. Used their credit thru Synchrony for no interest offer. Account wasn't charged until Aug. But I was charged AGAIN in Sept!
My husband and I bought two mattresses two years ago from this store and had an absolutely wonderful experience! I don't write many online reviews but our experience was so great, I just had to write it down! We were not bombarded by sale people, the lady who helped us gave us our space but was always available for questions. Selection was great, we still love our mattress! Buying was easy and delivery was quick, on time and professional! That's hard service to find in the furniture business for sure! Will definitely return!
Extremely poor customer service! Very verbally abusive to my daughter after not receiving the furniture she ordered. Would not give her 100% of her money back. I would not recommend this place of business for anyone!
Never again will I shop at this store or have an account with Synchrony. I have hours invested in dozing someone else's error and trying to reverse what amounts to theft.
Synchrony refused to do anything. Said I had to get Keifer to reverse the unauthorized charge. I've never had this issue with other credit card companies when the charge was false.
*Addition 1 week later: Store insists they have done what they can, and that the store no longer uses Synchrony to finance. After 20 minutes of insisting, Synchrony Customer "Service" finally agreed to file a dispute for the charge but insisted they had received no info from store. Done, right? Nope...I now have to PROVE to Synchrony that I didn't purchase 2 chairs! I'm going back to Bank of America.
Ordered a bed and nightstands July 22, was told 3-8 weeks. Here it is October 27, and they're saying it's on a truck and will be here in a few days. Last time I called (2 weeks ago), they said it was sitting in a warehouse in Mississippi or Alabama waiting to be picked up. I've already demanded free delivery and a discount. If it's not in on 10/31, I'm cancelling and getting a refund. Management is terrible, and it's not the first time this has happened. I don't know what fell apart along the way, but they shouldn't have been selling products they didn't have in stock while they went out of business. I was a fool for thinking that everything would work out as promised in this scenario.
