The first time we had maintenance there, he let himself in without knocking, ringing a doorbell, NOTHING! I woke to sounds in my apartment and they are lucky I figured out what it was or they could have met my Colt friend.
One of our bathrooms had an issue with leaking. The inexperienced maintenance at first said it was the toilet and tore it up to replace the seal. Said they would let the floor dry overnight and be back the next day to seal it. We didn't see them for a week. When they did come back under the flooring was still soaked so they decided it was something with the bathtub. The under side of the flooring was black with what I can only guess was mold. I brought this to their attention (with a picture) and was told they would have someone look at it. They NEVER sent anyone to look at it, just had them re-glue it to the sub-floor. We watched the black underneath this flooring grow the entire time we lived there after that.
Easy to deal with. First class service. Beautiful facilities. Highly recommend. Check it out and see for yourself.
Haven't had the chance to write this review but here I am now almost 5 months later. I moved out of cobblestone in September of 2016, only because I was relocating to be closer to my job. Everything from the day I moved in until the day I left was great. Maintenance came on time, everyone was friendly, never had a problem with anything actually. It was when it was time to get my deposit back is when things went down hill. Cobblestone decided to charge me to replace all the carpet in the living room and in the hall because there was one spot by the entrance to the kitchen that was dirtier than the rest of the carpet. Now from my experience living in an apartment with carpet, the floor would become somewhat dirty because of the constant walking on it, correct? That would be considered normal wear. Most apartment complexes just hire someone to come clean the carpet, which is what cobblestone DIDN'T DO!!!!! They kept my whole $800 dollar deposit then charged me another $600 dollars for the carpet replacement. Crazy right. When i called to complain about it, it took them almost a month to get back to me with an answer and it wasn't until i actually had to drive all the way back to Terre Haute that they tried to offer me a solution. Instead of the $600 they wanted to originally charge me, they only charged me $300 because in their words "The carpet wasn't new when you moved in". They knew it was time to replace the carpet in my apartment, but instead of them paying for it themselves, they made up some stupid reason why it was my fault. They just didn't want to come out of their pocket for the cost of the replacement carpet. I would recommend not living here if you want your deposit back. They will try any and everything to get over on you.
On the flip side, Megan in the office and Jamie who works the grounds are wonderful. He works very hard to keep the grounds clean. Cleaning up after people who think this is a frat house and their mama's are going to come clean up after them. You will rarely see a mess on the grounds throughout the week when he is working.
I agree with an earlier statement that once they get you in the door and get you to sign on the line
Been living here for 2 months now and this our first place together and we already have issues like they make you us pay so much for the worse service and living experience . Bed Bugs like we can’t even sleep in our own room cause we scared of bed bugs anyone know about them bugs you can’t kill them disgusting period . They don’t care the Women In the Office swear they to good yet they college degree led to work for a apartment yeah right total failure . How I look at it Cobblestone is not what it is or it seems to be . The area is deserted Service horrible . These people don’t care long they get their money they really don’t show effort like a true apartment suppose to be ran very unprofessional and once again we had chewed blinds moving in , dead bugs already like how , spider webs they didn’t properly clean everywhere moved the refrigerator out found the people before us kids picture there still . Dishwasher runs for days and this how y’all treat the ones who pay y’all bill . Flat out Cobblestone isn’t a place for anyone to live PERIOD .
We lived there for 5 months after signing a 6 month lease (paying for all 6 months). We were told after our initial check of our apartment that a manager would come look at the floor in our kitchen that was torn in 4 placed in front of the oven from the maintenance staff pulling it out. Jim looked at it in March and said it needed to be replaced and he would have the company call us. In April I went to the office and mentioned it again. I was told the same thing (they would have the company call me). When we moved out in July the floor had still NOT been repaired.
Our air conditioner went out twice, our balcony door would not open until they shaved off the top (leaving the mess for me to clean up), our stove went out the first time we turned it on, the dishwasher needed to be repaired at least 3 times, most of our windows did not stay open on their own. All this, plus what was mentioned above in the 5 months we lived there.
Upon move-out we wanted to do the final walk through with them. We were told that was not an option, that a manager does it alone. It has now been 52 days since we moved out, and 43 since we stated we would be out. We have yet to see anything about the final walk through. My husband called last week about our deposit and he was told that he could call this week and would be told if the accountant (Samantha - rudest person in the office) was told by the manager that she could cut our check.
Lived her for 4 years and never had an issue at all. Service calls have always been prompt and friendly.
