Lovely place to stay. Big handicapped room. Very comfortable. Would definitely stay again.
The breakfast in the morning was sufficient, however the breakfast on this particular day seemed disorganized. Boxes were out in the breakfast area during the meal time giving it a clutter look. Never seen this before at other Hampton Inn's.
Hello! I am sorry, but I never actually went into the building. I was just driving around in the parking lot playing Pokemon. From from the outside it looks like a nice and clean place. It is right next to a Thorntons gas station and right off of the I-70 interstate.
Extremely helpful staff. Called the hotel several hours before we checked in asking for a crib for our infant child. The staff promised they would and delivered. The pack and play was already in our room when we finally arrived. Such a blessing, and one less thing to worry about.
Internet in the room was spotty at times. Took a few hours for my wife and I to be able to log on. Also, it seems like the room wifi was only able to support one device at a time. Hopefully this was just one time issue.
Very nice, good service, quiet and very clean rooms. Classy space, slept well. A drunk female biker was there in the lobby when I checked in, but they can't control every guest. She was just loud..and I never saw her again. I definitely recommend. Terra Haute itself is generally an awful slice of America in my opinion, but if you gotta stop, this is a good place to do so. AVOID the Days Inn nearby! The front desk gal was super! (stayed 7/29/17, checked in at @ 9 PM, management!) I did figure out she was the ONLY staff apparently at the hotel! That is not so great.. she was hustling like stock trader on the floor of the stock exchange, smiling the whole time, and handling 5 conversations like a pro! I wish I had a business because I would hire her to manage it and treat her better than that! She was gold. The staff the next morning were very good as well, and the hotel appeared well staffed the next day. Hopefully that was a fluke.
Rooms are large, but the bed is not as comfortable as other Hampton Inn's I have stayed at. Rooms with even numbers are opposite the freeway, but the hotel is right off the main drag so we did hear some of the road traffic during the night.
A stopover on the way home to Ohio from our Christmas vacation, this property is located right off the freeway with several choices nearby for food and gas. Located less than a mile from the local mall if you choose to shop.
Very disapointed with this location. This is not the Hampton Inn we are accustom to. We checked into our room for our 4 night stay. We are in room 205. It has a very strong order of garlic. The staff gave us some cleaner to spray the carpet but it only worked for about an hour. I am also disappointed that the gust laundry is out of order and will not be back in operation until sometime in January. That does not help me now. The front desk suggest going to a laundromat. At other facilities when the guest laundry was out of order they will do your laundry for you. Now that is customer service. You won't get that here. My suggestion would be to spend your money elsewhere.
For a one night stay, it met our needs. Hopefully these issues with the wifi and the disorganized breakfast area was just on the day we were there. For the rates you pay for ($94 before tax), would recommend this hotel if you are in the area.
