Housing 13 registered sex offenders. The state of Indiana department of corrections has a contract with econolodge. This contracts assures that the econolodge will have at least 12 rooms available for released criminals to live in. I called the Econolodge to ask if they warned people when they rented rooms about the registered sex offenders residing there. The lady informed me that it is illegal for her to give anyone that information.
This is a nice motel. The whole place is pretty big. Plus point is the convenience of parking right at the door step. The check in staff is very friendly. Breakfast was ok (bagels, mini muffins, juice, waffles). Room was a little dark and a little run down.
If a bed bug infestation isnt enough to turn you away maybe the fact that they are contracted with the prison to house released sex offenders will be!!!! This places should be shut down!
Stayed there for 1 night. Ceilings were rather low (about 7 feet), and the bathroom rather cramped, but I was only paying about $70.00. Supposedly, they offer free wifi, but the instructions lead you to a site that demands verification, which is not provided. I just used a nearby hotels unsecured network instead.
The BIGGEST problem was that the cold water tap did not function in the shower - at ALL. Of course, I shower in the morning so I didn't find out in time to get a different room. To make this even worse, when I complained as I was checking out I got a lecture about how I should have checked the shower the previous night. Yeah, because it is completely unreasonable for me to ASSUME THE %#@$%ING PLUMBING WORKS!
No, I don't believe I will be staying there again.
Stayed on the way back from Oklahoma to Ohio. Room had holes in the wall. 3 People stayed only 2 towels. No pot for coffee. Had coffee maker. Didn't know that breakfast ended at 9. Had my son with me showed up at 9:05 for breakfast and staff was nasty real nasty about it. Son had to eat dry cereal with no milk. They wouldn't even get me a tea bag. Would recommend to stay somewhere else. Spend the extra 15 or 20 bucks. Didn't even take a shower there - dirty.
