Went in and asked how much it would cost without insurance. That obviously irritated the woman working at the front desk. She told me prices and I asked if she knew if the other clinic a block away was any cheaper for uninsured. She said, "I don't know, do you want to stay?" She then told me I would be responsible for the upfront cost and they would keep my credit card with them to pay for anything extra. I don't know if she just assumed I was poor because I don't have insurance or was just an unpleasant person, but she definitely made me sure I would never visit Ambucare again. MedExpress is a block away and filled with polite people who make you feel better when you are already feeling terrible.
Best clinic in town in my opinion. The wait time can be very long sometimes, but this is a testament to how many other people agree to my opinion. I would recommend to anyone.
I forgot who my doctor was, but im glad I went here on Thursday instead of the hospital it would've taken forever to get stitches in my finger there, but thankfully they got me in quick as possible, and I got my stitches and the doctor was professional. I would recommend this place for anyone.
Incredibly unprofessional. I went in on a Wednesday morning that was not busy and it started well. I was seen quickly, and the doctor ordered an ultrasound later that morning to see whether or not I needed to be admitted to the ER. They had received the imaging results from Regional before 1pm, but when I called at 2pm, I was told that the doctor had not yet reviewed it, so they could not pass along the comments that the Regional radiologist left. I called again at 3pm and was told that the doctor was not in at the moment and had not yet reviewed it. I called again at 4pm and was told that the doctor was available and would review it and call me back quickly - that didn't happen. I called again at 5:30pm and articulated that I had been waiting all day to find out whether not I should have been in the ER that morning. They finally called me back a few minutes later. Thankfully, it was nothing serious, but the situation was dangerously close to a malpractice suit. This is the closest urgent care clinic to my home, but after seeing this callous disregard for the lives of their patients, I will never be back.
Over all it's a good place and Dr. Rey and Dr Sappington are both very compassionate, they take the time to listen
