Once they have your money they don't give a damn what you have to say. I had to threaten with small claims court just to get things fixed; this was exactly 30 days after I first complained and made reminder calls at least twice in between. I currently have ice building up on the interior of the windows and sliding glass doors. I had to chip it away with a screwdriver and blow dryer. I called that day and then put plastic on the windows...it didn't fix it. It's been 3 days now, and I have not heard from anyone. I have cold air blowing in around the windows and I guarantee my heat bill is going to be sky high. Save yourself the trouble and don't move here or to Cobblestone. My brother lives in Cobblestone and he constantly has issues like me.
Nightmare does not begin to describe my experience here. If you have any other option at all, take it. When there are complaints about management, it is no joke. They do not return your calls (unless you are trying to get into the apartments). We believe that maintenance was in our apartment, without our knowledge or permission. The apartment smelled like urine. These are just a few of the problems we encountered.
Simply put, the place is cheap. Not inexpensive, cheap. The walls are relatively thin (though I've not noticed that much since my neighbors are quieter than normal), the rent is about average, they are good about salting and shoveling snow, trash is always clear, never any garbage on the ground that I notice in the lots, maintenance is fast and reliable, there are a lot of community things to get involved with and the office management is good. This is where the good ends really. The walls, trim, cabinets, etc., all feel cheap and ALMOST not worth the money. I've had to do a good bit of decorating to get my place feeling like home. The laundry room is a joke. At the time of this review 1 of the 6 washers actually works and 3 of the 6 dryers work. The hallways between the apartments don't smell the greatest (thanks cheap, thin walls) and it's obvious they are not cared for. Plus, the lettering that shows which apartments are where are fading or completely faded in a lot for the buildings making it hard for people to find where you are. I'd love to raise the rating and edit my review as I really do like living here but there are just a few too many small issues that make what should be a great experience feel mediocre for the price.
If you're looking for an apartment do not come here, the customer service sucks. Once they have you locked in a lease and have your money they don't care what you have to say. I've lived here for almost a year and it's the worst decision I've ever made in my life. They advertise themselves as this fun and family friendly apartment complex when they are just some greedy money hogs. Sadly I couldn't give 0 stars because if I could that's what they deserve. I would never recommend this place to anyone, maitiance is horrible they don't do their job, this is the worst place anyone could ever live. It's been a living hell is all I can say.
I've been here for almost a month and since day one my apt has smelled like sewage. I reported it the first first and maintenance looked at all of my sinks and cleaned them out. He said that if the smell was still there in a couple days to put in a work order. It's been over 2 weeks since I put in a work order and no one has come to look at anything. I had to threaten to call the health department to get answers on to why my apt smells like sewage. I had to buy a dehumidifier to see if that would work. There's so much moisture in the air that I'm emptying out my 30 pint dehumidifier every 3-4 hours. This is my first apartment and I can't express how disappointed I am...
You get what you pay for... maybe.
Edit- After moving out I'd like to also state that the complex kept what deposit I had left for over the 45 day period stating that they needed proof that I had paid my water and sewage bill in full. The entire time there I never missed a single payment on anything and often paid a week or more in advance for every bill I had at the complex. This is something they should be able to get on their own but instead I have had to jump through hoops for the last 2 months just to get the money owed to me.
