I knew I had something in my throat. I waited 3 months to get into an ENT. In March I was referred & June 2 was my appointment.Only for him to run a scope down my throat, tell me i had a nodule on each vocal cord.Loddy dah, I'm retiring next week. Pick another doctor out of this UAP clinic at 1429 North 6th and a Half street in Terre Haute and wait 3 more months to come back In to see how you're doing.
I have Hip. They WILL NOT PAY for another surgery to remove the scars so I can have a voice.So because of him I have to live with the RASPY LARYNGITIS type voice I have for the rest of my life.
I picked one they told me I couldn't have him I had to take Dr Seitz. I'm like okay, I made an appointment waited 3 more months. when I went into that appointment he did another scope on me, down my throat, to look at my vocal cords. Now I have two polyps ulcerated and precancerous on my vocal cords, he said, I suggest surgery. I said I agree, I haven't had a voice in a year. He set up surgery about 10 days later for a Vocal Cord Stripping and a Microlaryngoscopy.
THE ONLY THING HE TOLD ME IS I CANNOT TALK OR 4 DAYS AFTER SURGERY.
I still felt so in able to talk and I got on the internet and looked up the two procedures he did and what it said is strictly for 1 to 14 days you cannot talk, you cannot say anything at all, no whispering no nothing don't even move your lips. Other after surgery precautions is no coughing. What it says is, when you talk those surgery places on each vocal cord, where he took those polyps off of the vocal cords vibrate against each other when you talk and the open wounds vibrating against each other will cause scaring and you will not heal correctly and your voice will be raspy, laryngitis. Then you will have to have another surgery, of the same type, to remove the scares. I like many other people are on Medicaid or healthy Indiana plan
TODAY IS DAY NUMBER 6 AFTER SURGERY IT'S MONDAY I COULDN'T CALL HIM ON THE WEEKEND. I CALLED FIRST THING THIS MORNING AND TOLD THE RECEPTIONIST I KNOW HE DIDN'T READ MY FILE,BUT, I HAVE COPD AND CHRONIC BRONCHITIS WHICH INCLUDES CHRONIC COUGH. I'M REQUESTING A PRESCRIPTION COUGH SYRUP. THAT'S WHAT THE INTERNET SAID THEY WOULD GIVE YOU AFTER THIS SURGERY IF YOU HAVE A CHRONIC COUGH. NICOLE ME BACK 8 HOURS LATER, AND SAID, IF YOU WANT A PRESCRIBED COUGH SYRUP YOU NEED TO CALL YOUR LUNG DOCTOR.
So now comes Saturday day number 4. I'm supposed to start talking again I don't feel any better than what I did right after surgery, of course, my throat is swollen from having surgery.
I went home from surgery when nasal burns from four three days from anesthesia. The only thing he suggested is that I make an appointment. I was 2 hours away!!! Along with the nasal burns my sinuses were just pouring out liquid. I didn't talk for those 4 days,but, i coughed my head off. Chronic bronchitis, you're constantly coughing up white phlegm, as a part of COPD I've had chronic bronchitis for probably 4 years.
