Dr. Pittman is very good! I am very impressed with him. I feel so much better since my appointment and medication;however, his office staff/receptionist is a snot. She is very unfriendly. She makes you feel like you are putting her out to answer your questions or assist you. I called to ask a question about my appointment and she was silent for quite some time, I thought she hung up the phone and then she finally confirmed my appointment. I asked if my test results were back-- again silence. She did not say she would look or was looking, just silence. then again answered that they were back. She is not forthcoming with any decent communication skills or customer service. Dr. Pittman has negative reviews on other sites, BUT he is very good at what he does. He might have a better review if he had a MORE personable receptionist who was willing to assist patients in a friendly manner.
I sent to Dr Pittman as a second opinion. I was scared due to a mass. He made us wait for over 3 hours in the waiting room and then abt an hour in the room. I jumped through hoops to have another test done and he barely did it without measurements. Just said my mass was still there. Which could be seen with the naked eye. Then he started throwing statistics at me and said he didn't know what was wrong but wanted to remove my thyroid. That was 5 years ago and I now probably have cancer. NOONE tried any tests or to make me feel better. My son is in med school and I know that Ethics dictate more to the patient than this. I have had heart issues now and it's because I was never given proper diagnosis to make an educated decision to remove my thyroid.
